Can
we meet you?
Mr
NAPS: My name is Adelegan Christopher Daniels, number two
in the family of four, I’m from Osun state but I live in Lagos state at Festac
town.
MISS
NAPS: my name is Amechina Ugonna from idiato south Imo
State, I’m number four in the family of eight (six children)
What
motivates you to contest for NAPS pageantry?
Mr
NAPS: I have passion for fashion and pageantry which gave
me the edge of winning NAPS and Hot.inc pageantry award.
(MISS
NAPS) do you also won or contest for Hot.inc pageantry award?
MISS
NAPS: NO
Why?
MISS
NAPS: before I go on doing anything I do ask myself
questions, in the case of contesting for Hot.inc OAU awards I was unable to
answer those question.
If
I may ask what are those question?
MISS NAPS: (Smiles) I ask myself “will I be happy
doing this?”, “will I have time for it?” and “at the end of it do I have what
it takes to keep up the image?”.
Humm…
that’s interesting. So, what motivates you to contest for NAPS pageantry form and
were you able to answer these questions as well?
MISS
NAPS: (smile) I love pageantry but I don’t have the
opportunity and I also love dress ups a lot. I see it as avenue to play around
with fashion.
During
the competition, how sure are you that, you will win the contest. (in
percentage)
Mr
NAPS: like 75%
Wow!!!,
why are you so sure?
MR
NAPS: I showcase my talent at its best and I was well
dressed
Oh,
that’s good, Miss NAPs what about you
MISS
NAPS: just very shaky it was around 50%. Even before the
competition start I wasn’t that sure.
Before
you emerge as the winner, what
do you expect from being MR/MISS NAPS?
Mr
NAPS: The tittle and other benefit
Miss
NAPS: It’s an opportunity to represent the department well
Now
that you have won the Award, what you were given (I mean as gift/prize) does it
meet up to your expectation:
Mr
NAPs: No!
WHY?
Mr
NAPs: They promised us, and they are yet to fulfil their
promises.
MISS
NAPS What about you?
MISS
NAPS: I actually do not go into the competition because I
want a gift but I would have been satisfied if they were all fulfilled. We were
promised some particular amount of money; that was given, free food; that was
given, then free hair do and free make over and branded shirt. two out of five
were fulfilled
Do you have any question, comment, shutout and
observation?
Mr
NAPS: No for now
Miss
NAPS: I want to say, coming in to the department of
psychology we didn’t feel like strangers we have executives who were homely,
they treated us like their younger siblings so we didn’t feel like strangers. I
have a friend who barely know who their president is. We have the privilege to
walk up to any of our excos at anytime to talk to them. We have a good
relationship with all our excos. I feel that’s something I appreciate my
department for. A friend of mine attended one of our tutorials and was
surprised that our dept is organizing tutorial for us and our excos is taking
us tutorial. She saw the relationship between us and our excos and she was amazed
that this doesn’t exist in their department.
