Making Money or Making Wealth?

Ìṣe dé ọmọ aláṣe jẹ́ 

Owó dé ọmọ Aláṣe là

Quick direct translation: 

Work has come, for the child of do to eat.

Transacting (business) has come, for the child of do to be wealthy.

In more simple terms, we work to survive and trade (business) to build wealth.

And of course you want to build wealth so,

Yay…!  All you need to do now is to start a business...   

But maybe it's not that simple. 

Stick with me. 

There are two basic ways a man can do business. 

• Sell products or 

• Sell services.

But except in rare cases, you will always need money. 

Either to create or acquire the products to sell, or to learn a skill and get resources to practice and offer those skills.

Therefore, "you need money to make even more money" 

And maybe you don't have a silver spoon 

What do we do? 

We start at the very top.

If you are a student, of course, you don't have time for a salary job, learn a skill instead (preferably digital)

[it's even better than a job, nobody can fire it away from you.] 

Apply it early, and earn from it.

Earn to survive, and earn to invest in your growth of that skill. Thee better you are at it, the more your earning capacity. 

Master this skill then build a business out of it by automating - serving more people in less time or create another business entirely, something you wouldn't mind doing for 10-20years.

Consistency in business has a compounding effect, it is this compound effect that amounts to wealth.

Consistency is always rewarded with efficiency and experience, so surely you'll catch your break.

And while you are still failing or not making substantial profits from the business, you'll always have your mastered skill for survival. It will be your means to your expected end. 

In summary, if we must get wealth,

• We must first invest in ourselves (increase our value)

• Offer invested value self directly for monetary value 

• Then offer ourselves through our business of choice. Whilst still sticking to 1 & 2.
